Have you ever had the feeling that you were standing at the edge of a cliff with someone right behind you - just waiting for the right time to push you over the edge? Or perhaps like you've been left at the top of a steep mountain with a pair of skis but you never mastered the bunny slopes (funny story about that actually... let's just say it's related to my CV photo)?
Early last week my wife and I made a mad dash to the hospital at around
midnight. Turns out it was a false alarm but we're now packed and
ready to go on a moment's notice whenever the big moment arrives. We've
got much (but not all) of the cleaning done around the house. We even
finally got a camcorder
after several hours of shopping last weekend. So what's the problem?
No baby yet! I know I ought to be enjoying my freedom while I still
have the chance but it's starting to get annoying waiting around to make the trip to the hospital (and I'm not the one
carrying the baby around). Now, I understand that in a few weeks I'll be eating my words and wishing there was some way to reverse the birthing process, but for now the wait is killing me!
